Class tiers, skill priorities and route decisions are our editorial advice. Source links identify game facts; a review date does not mean live-client testing.

Who should choose Hunter?

Choose Hunter for ranged group attacks with a control option. A clean firing lane is part of the recommendation. Crowded platforms, enemies on top of you or time spent recovering position can matter more than a stationary attack comparison. The current editorial placement is A solo, A single target and B party utility.

This is an independent editorial plan for Global Grand Launch. The source kit was reviewed on October 23; the build plan was reviewed on October 28. We have not collected controlled live-server DPS, boss-clear or cost-per-level results.

AP: make the weapon decision visible

Start with the Bowman foundation and the AP/SP guide linked below. Write down the requirements of an attainable weapon before spending permanent points. Compare your character with temporary buffs and equipment bonuses identified; do not count a bonus twice.

Funding pressure for this path: bow upgrades and resupply. Keep enough resources for a normal training session after the upgrade. If accuracy or survival is the real bottleneck, a more expensive weapon alone may not solve it.

SP: inspect prerequisites before following priorities

The items below explain skill roles, not an invented point-by-point allocation. Open the live skill window, confirm prerequisites and the points available in the correct job pool, and then decide which skill changes your next route. Beta and historical third-job instructions are not a safe substitute.

  • Arrow Bomb: compare group clearing and control in a usable firing lane.
  • Soul Arrow: read its current resource behavior; do not assume a completely free session.
  • Keep bow-specific investment aligned with your chosen weapon.

Training: test the ordinary loop

Record how often enemies force you to move before your next shot. Compare a wider platform with a cramped one under otherwise similar conditions.

Keep the test small enough to repeat. Record starting and ending EXP, movement, recovery stock and any waiting. Use the leveling calculator for arithmetic, with your own inputs. A quiet channel or one rare drop can make a single run misleading; repeat before calling a route better.

Party value and single-target limits

The party role to discuss is control; no assumed unique damage buff. Ask what the group already has and which encounter you are preparing for. A duplicate buff is not automatically as useful as filling an absent role.

For a single target, compare practical time spent attacking with time spent avoiding, repositioning or recovering. The tier list’s single-target column is directional and assumes usable equipment; it does not establish which character clears a real boss faster.

Before the next permanent decision

Keep the current client tooltip as the final check for exact skill values and prerequisites. If it conflicts with the dated community reference, preserve the discrepancy and use the current game state. Do not spend points in anticipation of an unconfirmed future job.

Use the class comparison to understand the tradeoff you are accepting, the tier list for the relevant task and the AP/SP guide for allocation checks. A working routine is a better reason to continue than a letter is a reason to reroll.

AP allocation: a practical next-level plan

Use DEX as your main stat and check the requirements on a bow. STR is a common secondary-stat constraint, not a universal fixed ratio. Check every requirement on the actual item before spending.

The five-point example below is arithmetic, not a claim that a particular item has these requirements. Count only equipment bonuses you will still have after changing gear; do not depend on a temporary buff without checking the live equip rules.

SituationExample allocationDecision
Requirements already met5 DEXIf the next usable item’s requirements are met, put the example level’s points into the main stat.
Example: 2 STR short2 STR + 3 DEXCover the verified shortfall first, then use the remaining points on your main stat.
More than 5 points shortUp to 5 STR, 0 DEX in this exampleRecheck the item and budget; bridge the remainder over later levels or keep your current gear.
Frequent missesRecheck accuracy before committing permanent pointsTest weaker targets and gear options; an equipment requirement is not the only concern.
This is an equipment-driven editorial example, not a fixed ratio, reset guarantee, or recommendation to spend permanently on an unverified item.

SP allocation and skill priority

Follow these priorities in order as the relevant skills unlock. A suggested first point is conditional on having an available point in the correct job pool and meeting the current client’s prerequisites; it does not mean every skill is immediately unlocked.

The order is an editorial starting plan, not a tested optimal level-by-level build. Check ranks, costs and the live skill window before each permanent allocation.

PrioritySuggested allocationWhy
Group attackTake Arrow Bomb 1 when available, then develop it for packsTest group positioning and control.
Weapon lineDevelop bow mastery and add bow booster when unlockedFavor a repeatable firing rhythm.
SuppliesEvaluate Soul Arrow after checking its prerequisiteCompare convenience and actual ammunition use.

First-week route: early to mid game

These are progression stages, not a promise that every player reaches a given level within one week. Use the first-week and leveling guides for route and session-planning details.

StageWhat to doCheck before moving on
Levels 1–10Finish the beginner route and travel to your branch instructor.Check the current advancement requirements in the client.
Levels 10–29Use the Bowman foundation; practice keeping a clear lane and resupplying arrows.Compare nearby fields with mushroom or boar routes and, if eligible, KPQ from level 21.
Levels 30–39After level 30, test Arrow Bomb on manageable packs and compare movement between platforms.Read the second-job guide and recheck the skill prerequisites.
Levels 40–70Retest a familiar Victoria Island route against tougher local targets as your skills improve.Compare attacks per kill, travel and recovery over a full session before moving.
