Global MapleStory Classic World opened to everyone on October 21, 2026. This guide covers the Grand Launch period. It is not an Artale, MapleLegends, MapleStory Worlds or modern MapleStory route. Start through Nexon’s official game entry and coordinate your world with friends before investing time in a character.

These are seven sessions, not seven deadlines. If you only have twenty minutes, stop at a safe milestone and continue next time.

First session: learn the controls and choose a direction

Use Maple Island to settle your movement, attack and recovery keys. Read the quest objective before leaving an NPC, then group nearby objectives into a single trip. Test which items stack and how much free inventory space you need.

Choose a first job for the routine you enjoy: melee positioning, spells, ranged shots or claw/dagger play. Avoid building around an unreleased future skill. The four current class pages place first advancement at level 10; your destination is Perion, Ellinia, Henesys or Kerning City depending on the branch.

  • Pick a recovery key you can press without looking away from combat.
  • Keep unfamiliar quest items until you check their purpose.
  • Record your intended weapon before distributing points.

Second session: make one build work

Visit your instructor and open the matching build guide. Establish a usable attack, check its prerequisites, and spend toward a clear purpose. Do not spread the first few points across every attractive skill.

For gear, write down only the next attainable upgrade. Compare its requirements with your real stats and keep a recovery reserve before shopping. A perfect future build is less valuable than a character that can keep training today. At the end of the session, note one problem to fix next time: misses, too many casts, contact damage, travel or lack of money.

Third session: make a town visit count

The community citizenship reference lists access from level 12 and residency in Henesys and Kerning City. Inspect the Community Board and your own eligibility. Accept what fits the areas you already plan to visit; check the recipient so you know where to turn the task in.

Combine that trip with buying recovery items, checking a weapon and clearing only inventory items whose purpose you understand. Do not buy an expensive donation just to tick a weekly box. Compare its cost with the progression goal you would otherwise fund.

Fourth session: find your own training baseline

Pick a nearby map you can clear safely. Record starting EXP, spend ten minutes playing normally, and record ending EXP and recovery costs. Include looting and movement. Try one alternative with the same rules.

Use the leveling guide’s comparison tool to turn both sessions into rates. Keep the original measurements so you can tell whether a later upgrade helped. Do not treat a single rare drop or an empty late-night channel as normal conditions.

Fifth session: learn a party role

KPQ is a four-player activity available from level 21, with a thirty-minute run limit in the walkthrough references. Read the coupon stage and puzzle routine before joining. Tell the group if this is your first run and agree on who calls combinations.

  • Bring recovery supplies and weapon ammunition where applicable.
  • Keep inventory space for coupons and passes.
  • Stay still on the assigned puzzle position while the leader checks.
  • Count waiting and regrouping time when comparing the party route with solo training.

Sixth and seventh sessions: remove the bottleneck

Review your actual sessions before buying anything. If you spend most of the time walking, a damage upgrade may be the wrong fix. If you stop because you run out of consumables, choose a sustainable route or delay the purchase. If parties keep failing, learning the mechanic may matter more than gear.

At level 30, review the live advancement requirements, branch choices and point restrictions with your instructor. Finish a coherent first-job allocation before confirming. If you have not reached 30, keep the same review habit; this plan does not assume a fixed number of hours per level.

  • Keep the route that works at your usual play time.
  • Plan one reachable goal for the next week.
  • Save the best ordinary session as your benchmark.
  • Recheck source dates after a patch before copying numerical advice.
