A guide with its sources
in the margins.
Maple Fieldnotes is an independent fan resource for Global MapleStory Classic World. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Nexon.
What we cover
The collection covers the Grand Launch period, with a skill-source snapshot from 23 October 2026 and editorial additions on 26 October: first-week decisions, four branch foundations and all ten second-job builds, a multi-axis tier list and practical class comparison, EXP measurement, Kerning Party Quest, daily and weekly planning, and a basic meso budget. We focus on the choices a player makes during a session.
Our launch scope does not assume third-job access, Orbis or El Nath. We do not reuse modern MapleStory, Artale or private-server rules as if they apply to Classic World. The guide collection links each factual reference beside the relevant section.
Facts, advice and what remains uncertain
Official release announcements take precedence. Community wikis and databases provide useful class, quest and map references, but some still label their data pre-launch. An article review date means the sources were reviewed on that date; it does not certify an in-game test.
Build priorities, budgeting methods and the seven-session plan are original editorial advice. They are not an independently measured optimal SP allocation, a guaranteed hourly rate or a promise of a particular leveling time.
The official launch article’s JavaScript body was not extractable in this audit. Launch timing was checked against Nexon’s Steam announcements; channel and trading changes use an attributed community digest that links to the official release notes.

Privacy and your saved progress
No account is required. Self-hosted Umami counts public pageviews only on maplefieldnotes.com. Preview hosts, Do Not Track and the umami.disabled preference prevent tracking. Query strings, fragments, referrers, page titles and user identifiers are excluded. Calculators run in the browser from the numbers you enter. Checklists use local storage under a Maple Fieldnotes key, and the color theme is saved locally. These preferences do not synchronize with Nexon or another device.
Reset checklist clears that checklist’s selections. Your browser’s site-data controls can remove the saved preferences. If local storage is blocked, checkboxes still work for the current visit.
YouTube is loaded only after you press the video button. At that point your browser connects to YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player and its providers. External links open the destination site, which has its own privacy policy. Cloudflare handles hosting requests and may retain its own operational logs.

Artwork and attribution
The woodland illustration was generated for this site. It is atmospheric fan-guide art, not an official screenshot or a claimed depiction of a specific game map. No competitor artwork has been copied. MapleStory, character and skill names, and related trademarks belong to Nexon.
Community factual references are linked and paraphrased. Material derived from MapleClassic Wiki is attributed to its contributors and remains available under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. The original editorial guide text on this site is offered under the same license. This does not relicense Nexon assets or the underlying ShipAny code.

Compare the visible source-review date with the latest official patch notes. Check the current skill window, NPC requirements and event timers before making a permanent character choice. If a source has changed, follow the newer authoritative rule and treat the affected fieldnote as needing another review.
