## When did MapleStory Classic World launch?

Grand Launch opened on October 21, 2026. Nexon’s Steam announcements record the completed launch maintenance at 11:00 AM PDT. Founder’s Access began earlier; this site is written for the Grand Launch period.

## Is this guide for Artale or a private server?

No. These fieldnotes cover Nexon’s Global MapleStory Classic World. Artale, MapleStory Worlds experiences, private servers and modern MapleStory have different rules. Always compare a guide’s game name and date before copying a build.

## What is the best class for beginners?

There is no universal best class. Consider Fighter for a compact melee routine, Ice/Lightning for group spells and movement, or Cleric for party support. Bowman and Thief offer ranged or dagger routines with different positioning and supply demands. Compare the costs and play style you enjoy before choosing.

## Where can I find MapleStory Classic builds?

The builds hub links all ten launch second jobs and four first-job foundations. Each build has an AP example, SP priorities, early-to-mid training and gear checks; the AP and SP guide explains the shared decisions.

## Do Magicians advance at level 8 or level 10?

The current community class page places Classic World Magician advancement at level 10. An older general SP page still uses a level-8 example. We flag that conflict and use the live client as the authority for available points instead of deriving a supposedly exact budget from the old example.

- [MapleClassic Wiki: Magician](https://mapleclassic.wiki/wiki/Magician): Community class table; first job at level 10. Some older general SP pages still say level 8.

## Where should I train for the best EXP?

Start with a nearby route you can clear reliably, then measure a full session including movement, waiting and recovery. Use the leveling tool to compare two candidates. A monster’s EXP/HP ranking is not a measurement of your character’s EXP per hour.

## What level and party size do I need for KPQ?

The walkthrough references agree on level 21 as the minimum and a party of four, with a thirty-minute run timer. References disagree about the old upper level limit. Check Lakelis in the live client before assuming a character above level 30 can enter.

- [Metaroad: KPQ walkthrough](https://metaroad.gg/maplestory-classic/party-quests/maplestory-classic-world-kerning-city-party-quest-kpq-guide): Updated October 21; explicitly distinguishes test changes. Four players, level 21+, thirty-minute run.

## Which channels run KPQ after Grand Launch?

The October 20 launch digest lists channels 3 through 12. Earlier guides list channels 3–5 or 3–6 and are out of date on that detail. Channel availability can change with maintenance, so follow the latest official notice and the current NPC message.

## Are third jobs, Orbis and El Nath part of this route?

No. The launch references place those outside the initial playable scope. These guides focus on Maple Island, Victoria Island, first jobs and second-job decisions. Future announcements do not become live training recommendations until the content is available.

## What should I do daily and weekly?

Check the Community Boards for the towns where you are eligible, review the actual errand or donation, and combine it with a normal town visit. Inspect separate event conditions in the game. We do not publish an unverified reset hour or treat every catalog entry as a task offered today.

## Why can’t a new account trade immediately?

The launch digest reports a restriction until twenty-four hours after a character reaches level 15 on a new account. Check the current official notice and in-game restriction message before making a market plan.

- [MapleStory Quest: Grand Launch changes](https://maplestory.quest/news/grand-launch-release-notes): October 20 launch digest, checked October 23. Used for launch channels and new-account trading restriction.

## Do the tools connect to my Nexon account?

No. EXP and meso tools calculate from numbers you enter. The KPQ tracker only enumerates possible combinations. Checklists save locally in your browser and do not verify in-game progress or synchronize between devices.

## How current are the builds and sources?

The build plans and tier methodology were editorially reviewed on October 28, 2026; the underlying launch skill snapshot is from October 23. We distinguish community references from launch announcements and label priority plans as editorial advice. We have not claimed live-client playtesting or an independently measured optimal build.
